Intergenerational Respite Program at Genesee Valley Central School

New initiative, started August 2021- a collaboration between the GV school district, Allegany County Office for the Aging, and Ardent Solutions, Inc.
Older adults (50+) are welcomed into the school for regularly scheduled recreation, socialization, and educational opportunities. Beneficial for all involved: caregivers can have a break OR participate with their loved ones, students may have the opportunity for companionship and mentorship, older adults benefit from reduced isolation, increased mental stimulation, etc.
Screening & formal intake required.
